The Baths of Virgin Gorda

The Baths of Virgin Gorda

The Baths are an area of unique geologic formations located at the bottom of a hill on the southern end of Virgin Gorda. Graceful granite boulders and breathtaking grottoes lie in piles on the sand beach, showing evidence of the island's volcanic origins. The boulders form natural hidden rooms, impressive arches, exciting tunnels and grottoes that will lead you straight to Devil's Bay, where you'll find shallow clear water perfect for snorkeling. Granite boulders also form sheltered sea pools on the beach's edge. Climbing and crawling through the crevices and grottoes can be slippery but it is worth the view. The island of Virgin Gorda is also known as "The Fat Virgin" because of its profile on the horizon that resembles of a fat lady lying on her side.

Cane Garden Bay

Cane Garden Bay

While visiting the British Virgin Islands you must stop at Tortola and see beautiful Cane Garden Bay. It's a long and curved bay that's sheltered from heavy winds, with its white sand and exceptionally calm water. A perfect place for swimming, windsurfing or snorkeling along the edges of the bay. With its palm trees and beautiful view of tropical hillsides surrounding it, Cane Garden bay takes your breath away. It has been voted as one of the "best beaches" by Caribbean Travel. Anything you could possibly want to distract you from your everyday problems is right there. There are many restaurants and bars to choose from that line the beach. Everybody can find something for themselves, whether you want to enjoy peace and quite or try an active vacation.
