Athens
Athens is the capital and largest city of Greece, and also the city with the most glorious history in the world. It has always been a birthplace of civilization. The most important site of the city is the Acropolis hill. It contains several ancient buildings of great historic significance but the most famous is Parthenon. Parthenon is a former temple dedicated to the goddess Athena whom the people of Athens considered their patron. The climate is one of the best in Europe, and thanks to its rich morphology Athens has plenty of places where you can admire stunning panoramic views of the city. The capital is also famous for its nightlife. It often plays host to open air garden cinemas and supports music venues which attracts world class artists.
