Top Places to Visit

Mahe Island

Mahe Island

Mahe is the largest and most developed island of the Seychelles. The island has a lot to offer, from white-sand beaches and picture-perfect coves to granite peaks up to the highest point of the country, the Morne Seychellois. Therefore, there are plenty activities to choose from, such as mountain walks, rock-climbing or sea kayaking and scuba diving. Dazzling coastline of Mahe island is undoubtedly the main attraction. If you like to mix beach break with adventure, Mahe island is just the place for you. The south of the island is ideal for beach hopping because of its small and close enough bays, while the north-west of the island is more remote but with fewer swimming beaches ideal for snorkeling. Stunning viewpoints are one more reason to take your camera with you.

Praslin Island

Praslin Island

Praslin island is the second largest island. It is famous for its gorgeous beaches especially Anse Georgette and Anse Lazio that frequently make it to top ten lists of best beaches worldwide. Both beaches have white sand and calm turquoise water that draws swimmers and snorkelers. Despite Seychelles' growing popularity, those beaches maintained their sense of seclusion. It would be a good thing to remember that the beaches on the south east of the island can disappear at high tide. Another place worth visiting is Vallée de Mai Nature Reserve. It has the vestiges of a natural palm forest preserved in almost its original state. Its coco de mer palm produces the world’s largest nut. Valle de Mai also provides shelter to a great variety of rare birds, making it a birdwatchers delight.
